August 28, 2009 - The Slava of the Kolo of Serbian Sisters was celebrated in the New Gracanica Monastery. Divine Liturgy was served by His Grace, Bishop Longin along with ten priests and two deacons. Also present at the Liturgy were the sisters with the abbess from the Monastery of the Most Holy Theotokos in New Carlisle, IN. After the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Longin cut the Slava bread with the participation of the sisters of KSS.
After the Divine Services, Bishop Longin awarded sister Radoslava Todorovic, the president of the Midwestern chapter of KSS, with a gramata and expressed his gratitude to her and to the Midwestern chapter for their tireless labor in the field of Church life, quoting at that time the Metropolitan Irinej of blessed repose who used to say that the sisters are the wings of the church.

On that same day, at the Divine Liturgy, seminary graduate Dragan Micanovic was ordained by Bishop Longin into the rank of holy deaconate.
