On Sunday, January 17, 2010, His Grace Bishop Longin served Holy Hierarchical Liturgy at St. Sava Parish in Houston for the first time as ruling bishop of this parish.  Local priest Fr. Dejan Tiosavljevic, Fr Dragoljub Popovic and a Russian priest, Fr. Sergije Kapitan, served with His Grace.  After the Holy Liturgy, new crosses for the domes and bells were blessed for the new church.  The church is beautifully built in the Serbian style and is almost completed.  This small group of faithful is worthy of all praise for their sacrifice.   May this holy work be completed as soon as possible.  Bishop Longin was over-joyed with his visit.  He praised Fr. Dejan, who with his faithful people should continue to both build this church, as well as a living Church in this city.  His Grace specifically called upon the new-comers, many whom he knows from Krajina, to actively participate in the building of this new church and to include themselves in the life of our Holy Church and the parish in Houston.
