On Sunday, February 28th, 2010, His Grace Bishop Longin made his first archpastoral visit to the St. Petka parish in Troy, MI. Along with Bishop Longin, Divine Liturgy was served by Prot. Stavrophors Miosav Djindjilovic and Zivko Kajevic, Prot. Andrej Aleksejev, parish priest Kristijan Petrovic and deacons Nikolaj Kostur and Ivan Feloniuk. At the end of Divine Liturgy, Bishop Longin awarded the retired parish priest of St. Petka - Prot. Stavrophor Stevan Petrovic with an Hierarchal Gramata, recognizing his work in the building of the church, his labor over the decades and his examplary family life. Fr. Kristijan, in return, gave the Bishop and new staff as a gift from the whole parish, as a memento of his first visit to the parish.

The same evening, Bishop Longin attended the Pan-Orthodox Vespers in the Church of St. Stevan of Decani, in Warren, MI where Fr. Zivko Kajevic is the parish priest. Some twenty priests from various jurisdictions attended the service. Prot. Radomir Obsenica gave the sermon on the topic of Saint Gregory Palamas and the meaning of Divine energy. After the service, a lenten dinner was held in the church hall.
